The future of female fighters in the sport is in the balance after an unprecedented wave of female competition.
This weekend the European women’s governing body announced that it will open the doors to female fighters on January 1, 2017, with the first bout of the year taking place on Saturday in Barcelona.
“This will be the first time that female fighters will compete in a UFC event,” Claudia Gadelha, the new women’s champion in the UFC, said on Saturday.
“We know there will not be too many male fighters available for the women’s fights.
The fight will be one of the most competitive women’s bouts on the cards.”
With this announcement, women will now have the chance to be seen and heard at a professional level in the eyes of the world.
In the past, women’s promotions have had to compete in male-only tournaments and they have rarely been given a shot at making it to the top of the sport.
The women’s fight will also provide a first glimpse of the future of the women in MMA, with a fight between Germaine de Randamie and Karolina Kowalkiewicz, who were both originally scheduled to fight in a women’s division.
Kowalkiews fights in December, while de Randemies first fight is expected to be in March.
De Randamies career started in 2009, while Kowakiews was born in 1996, the year UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey made her debut.
However, De Randemys win over Rousey in the main event of UFC on FOX 6 in December did not go down well with many women fans who felt that it was an unnecessary and even disrespectful victory.
De Randamys win is the only win of the season for UFC on Fox 6, which saw three women’s titles (Ronda Rouseies, Holly Holm, and Amanda Nunes) and a number of mixed martial arts (MMA) titles contested.
It is also the only time that De Randamiys opponent has been a woman.
Since the inception of women’s MMA, the women have had one of its only two women’s tournaments, which are held in China and Japan.
With the opening of the Women’s Ultimate Fighting Championship (WUFC), female fighters can compete in sanctioned events with their male counterparts.
A number of female promotions have already taken advantage of the opportunity to expand their offerings and offer more female-specific fights.
UFC Fight Night 63, which will take place in Japan on February 1, will feature the debut of a female fighter in the heavyweight division, and the promotion will hold a second event on February 8, which is headlined by a fight for the UFC women heavyweight title.
Another promotion, the WEC, will also be hosting a women`s fight for a third time on March 1, with three fights taking place: for the WBF title, for the interim belt, and for the heavyweight title, with two of the four fights being women` s fights.
In addition, WEC featherweight champion and current champion Cris Cyborg is set to face undefeated Brazilian fighter Ronda “Cyborg” Santos in the lightweight title fight on March 5 in Rio de Janeiro.
Brazilian women` best-ever welterweight champion, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, will take on a former champion in Valentina Shevchenko, a fight which will be part of the UFC`s women` title defence show.
While women` first-round victories are rare, women` fights have become more popular with the introduction of new and innovative rules and regulation.
Following the introduction and introduction of a new division in 2014, the UFC decided to open a new women` sport, kickboxing, with WEC lightweight champion Randa Markos taking on the No. 1 ranked woman in the world in Holly Holme.
Despite the new regulations and rules changes, WSOF, the largest women` fight promotion in the United States, is not expecting to see a drop off in women` number of fights.
“It`s not going to be a big drop off,” WSOf founder and CEO, Joe Rogan, said in an interview on Monday.
“Women`s fighting is growing and there`s going to continue to be more and more women competing in it.
We`re looking forward to the opportunity that women` will have to compete for championships and to be able to compete on the biggest stage.”
In a recent interview, Rogan said he believes the fight between Holme and Markos will be a battle of the “best of the best.”
“I don`t know how much of an impact the fight will have on the fight,” Rogan told ESPN FC.
“I`ve been hearing for the last few months, in the media, and then in my conversations with people, that
