A white woman in Alabama is suing a former boyfriend for raping her and then leaving her to die in a shallow grave.
Amber Jones filed a wrongful death lawsuit against 21-year-old Marcus Allen and his father, who she said left her to “die in a pool of her own blood.”
In court papers, Jones said Allen’s father and Allen told her that if she ever spoke out against him, “you would be killed by the police.”
Jones also claimed Allen told police he “would kill my daughter” if she told police about the alleged attack.
Allen, a former student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Allen was charged with rape, first-degree murder and tampering with evidence.
A police officer who responded to the scene, who was not named, testified in court that he and other officers noticed blood on the floor and told Allen to stop touching the woman’s body.
Allen has pleaded guilty to one count of first-time murder and is awaiting sentencing.
In court documents, the woman said she was assaulted on Aug. 11, 2015, at Allen’s house by Allen, who also was then a student.
He told her she had “taken something from him,” and she “took it away,” court documents said.
She said she did not remember the details of the attack, but that Allen “had grabbed her breasts and had a penis in her vagina.”
A day later, the man who called 911 said he “heard a noise, like someone screaming,” and that “it sounded like someone was pushing the door closed.”
He said the woman screamed and “she was saying she had something that looked like a tampon in her pussy.”
The woman told police Allen raped her twice that day and twice the next, but police did not arrest Allen.
She told police she called the police when she was in Allen’s car and he asked her to get out.
She called police again, but they told her Allen was not at the scene.
She later called Allen’s ex-girlfriend and asked her if she would “stop the police from arresting him because he’s white,” court papers said.
The woman said the police officers told her, “If you come out with this story, you’re going to be dead.”
When Jones went to the hospital to have her rape kit tested, she was told Allen had been arrested.
She was later arrested on two charges of felony rape and two charges for felony tampering with a corpse.
Jones was taken to the Alabamian Correctional Facility and then released in early September, according to court records.
The charges stem from a July 24, 2015 assault on a woman who was sleeping on a couch in a dorm room.
She accused Allen of grabbing her breasts while he was asleep and then raping her.
She described Allen as wearing a mask and having a penis “in his vagina.”
Allen’s lawyer, Chris Jones, did not immediately return a message seeking comment.
Jones did not return messages seeking comment on Thursday.
In August, a white man in Virginia was charged after he was arrested and charged with raping a white female on a plane.
The man, Robert Johnson, was charged in March with third-degree rape and conspiracy to commit third-party sexual assault, according the Virginian-Pilot newspaper.
Johnson, a 32-year old white man, was released from prison in December after serving time for his arrest and the rape charges.
Johnson’s lawyer did not respond to a message for comment Thursday.
Johnson was released on bond in July, but was arrested again in August after another woman reported the alleged assault to the police.
She reported Johnson had a gun, which police found during the search, court documents show.
Johnson is scheduled to appear in court in September.
